Good value for a new client

I was looking for a Freelance UI UX for a redesign and saw Lovia Bijoux. I needed to get the most for my budget, so I looked at a few platforms. The 'remise nouveaux inscrits' helped seal the deal for me. It made the initial cost more manageable. The freelance professional I worked with was good, and the platform handled the project management well. For a first-timer, it felt like a solid investment.

Consistent results, easy process

I've used Lovia Bijoux a few times now for our marketing needs. This last time, I needed a Freelance SEO for a new project. The process was as smooth as I remember from last year when I hired a Freelance Communication expert. Their certified profiles really do save time, and the quality of work is consistently high. It just works well for us, so I keep coming back.

Anyone know how payments work on Lovia? Is it all upfront, or do they do milestones?

M Mike 1 month ago
It's usually milestone-based, which is nice. You don't have to pay for the whole thing until you're happy with the work. They hold the funds in escrow, I think.

Yep, escrow system. It's pretty secure. I've used it for a few web dev projects, and it's always gone smoothly.

I saw something about a welcome offer. Is there still a discount for new users or companies signing up?

W Wendy A. 1 month ago
Sometimes they have a 'first month free' type of deal or referral credits. It's not always a straight discount code though.

B Ben E. 1 month ago
Yeah, check for referral links! That's usually how I see people getting initial discounts, or maybe a small credit on their first mission.

Are there any promo codes floating around? Trying to get a good deal on my first freelance hire.

G Gwen 2 months ago
Discounts are pretty rare, honestly. Usually it's more like a referral link that gives you a credit, not a percentage off code.

R Raj 2 months ago
Yeah, I've only seen referral bonuses or maybe a 'first mission fee waiver' type of thing. Actual promo codes are pretty scarce, especially for big discounts.

I'm thinking of using Lovia for a seasonal boost in Q4, like around the end of the year. Is that a good time or is everyone super busy then?

J Jared 2 months ago
End of the fiscal year is actually one of their peak times. Lots of companies trying to use up budgets or finish projects, so there should be plenty of freelancers active.

Yeah, December's usually pretty busy. Also September and January are big, so you should find good options.

How does Lovia compare to Malt? I've used Malt a bunch, but looking for alternatives.

J James Walsh 1 month ago
Lovia's pretty similar to Malt in terms of quality, but I feel like Lovia has a slightly more curated pool of French-speaking talent, if that's what you're after. Malt feels a bit broader sometimes.

I'd say Lovia's certification process is a bit more stringent than Malt's. For highly specialized roles, Lovia sometimes shines more. Both are good though.

Thinking of trying Lovia for a big project. Are the service fees super high, or is it reasonable compared to other platforms?

C Cody 1 month ago
The fees are pretty standard, not outrageous. They're transparent about it too, so no surprises at the end.

I found them comparable to Malt, maybe a little less if you catch a promotion. Definitely not as bad as some others that nickel and dime you.

Is Lovia free to use for businesses looking to hire? Or do you pay a subscription or something?

C Cody Patel 1 month ago
It's free to sign up and post projects. You only pay when you actually hire someone, and that's usually the service fee on top of the freelancer's rate.

T Tara T. 1 month ago
Yeah, no upfront subscription or anything like that for finding talent. The fees are on a per-project basis, which is great for small businesses.

What kind of proof do they require for a freelancer to be certified? Just wondering how reliable that 'certified' tag actually is.

L Lisa Hughes 1 month ago
They verify experience, past projects, and I think some even go through skill assessments. It's not just a self-declaration, afaik.
6
D David Okafor 1 month ago
They definitely check references and portfolios. It's more than just uploading a CV, so the certification means something. It's not like just anyone can get that badge.
